Equipping your truck for heavy-duty gooseneck towing and maintaining full functionality for other cargo options is easy with the CURT OEM-style gooseneck ball. This patented trailer ball features an easy, as-needed, drop-in installation and a thoroughly tested design to tackle tough jobs. The CURT 38K OEM-style gooseneck hitch ball is engineered for streamlined installation to accommodate truly hardworking pickup trucks. Its patented installation mechanism allows it to drop into the gooseneck hitch whenever needed and to be removed and stored with ease for full truck bed functionality. It features a top lever and two stainless steel retention balls built into the shank. To secure the ball, simply drop it into the hole and twist the lever, locking it down for safe, secure towing. To free up the truck bed for other types of towing or hauling cargo, lift the lever and twist a quarter-turn to unlock the retention balls. The gooseneck hitch ball can then easily be removed and stored to be readily available for use on the next job.
This CURT OEM-style gooseneck ball comes with a 3″ diameter ball to fit 3″ gooseneck couplers. A 2-5/16″ gooseneck ball #60627 is also available. Both of these gooseneck balls are compatible with the truck bed puck system available on Chevy, Ford, GMC, Nissan and Ram trucks with the towing prep package. They also fit CURT OEM-style gooseneck hitches.
For dependable strength and confidence in heavy-duty towing, CURT OEM-style gooseneck balls are constructed from forged and machined steel alloy. This gives them solid strength for managing the largest of gooseneck trailers. The entire ball and shank are shielded in a polished chrome plating, ensuring excellent protection against water, rust, dirt and other threats.
This OEM-style gooseneck trailer ball is rated to tow up to 38,000 lbs. gross trailer weight and 9,500 lbs. vertical load. These weight ratings are limited to the lowest-rating towing component in the entire towing system, including the vehicle. For safety, the ball has been stringently tested to J2638 specifications.
